About this path

Learn to take a multirotor from a box of parts to autonomous, mission-capable flight. You'll start on the bench — wiring, flashing, and tuning a flight controller until it holds a stable hover — then move up the stack to state estimation, offboard control, and full autonomous missions with PX4 and ROS 2. By the end you can own a UAV program end-to-end: hardware bring-up, firmware, autonomy, and the ground-to-air software around it.

What you'll be able to do

  • Bring up a flight controller from bare hardware and tune a stable multirotor

  • Take a UAV prototype from simulation through to a real, logged flight test
Before you start

Comfortable with Python and basic Linux commands. "Robotics 101" is a helpful warm-up but not required.
